About me

I am Victoryanah.  I am someone who reads everyone's bio, because that is where I can begin to know and trust the individual, or not.  So I am adding a little information about myself.

I have another website that has been around for many years.  It is devoted to my career in holistic health.  But this site is newer and created solely as an experimental ground for my expanding digital graphics interests.  As I learned more about Photoshop I needed a place to practice and this is it.

In my  early 20s, before I had my children, I took classes in fine arts.  I did oil painting, charcoal sketching and work in acrylics.  In the last 10 years I've turned my creative interests toward digital graphics.  I make all my own backgrounds, texts, special effects, and other related graphics, and have done some professional web design.

I use mostly  Photoshop CS3, Painter X, Poser 7, Paint Shop Pro X2, Vue 6 Pro Studio and Bryce.  I learned to code my webs in HTML a long time ago but these days I prefer the simpler ways of Front Page 2003.  I create my graphics and webs on a Vista Dell with a 22" widescreen.  I also use a Dell widescreen laptop for less demanding activities.

You could say I'm a computer geek.  I reformat my computers at least once a year, to keep them running well and clear up any problems.  I use a Nikon CoolPix 2100 for my digital photos.  When I am working on something in Poser or Vue I listen to music on my Microsoft Zune as it helps the creative process.

My taste in music is eclectic.  I like most classical, jazz, bluegrass, alternative, reggae, and 50s and 60s pop.  In art I favor the old masters, and in particular I am fond of Monet and his use of color and light.  My attraction to things like art and music are based on their energy, or the  feeling they carry to the observer.

I am committed to a Green planet, and support everything that is environmentally friendly.  I enjoy travel, gardening, pets, being in Nature, solitude, good friends, silence, and laughter.  I feel tremendous gratitude for my life; for the opportunity to be here in body and spirit, and to learn and grow on this beautiful planet.
